This hypnotic necklace reminds me of a dangerous snake but its actually just black and white rice pearls. Its 58cm long with a hypoallergenic gold filled clasp. It looks great on a with a t-shirt and because the pearls are quite fine it has a bit of a summery feel.
Pearls heat to your skin temperature when you wear them so its always delightful to have some on. I’ve been playing with ways of getting pearls away from their fuddy-duddy reputation by creating harder hitting more contemporary designs and this is one of my favourites.
I found these pearls separately in two Charity Shops in New Zealand so this combination is great if you want to do environmentally friendly shopping and prefer to buy second hand. Because they are upcycled, this necklace is also a one off.
