Inspired by the Japanese inlay technique, shibayama, this little dragon fly is made of peridot, garnet and opal. The details of the legs are etched into the solid silver of the ring and highlighted using a sulphuric patina. Its a really satisfying way of using up chips, chards and damaged stones that cant be used in my other work.
Each of these insects are individually handcrafted so no two rings will ever be identical but if you would like to order one let me know your size and I will create a similar ring for you.
